Dennis J. Streveler Ph.D

Lead HMIS Consultant to the World Bank
A veteran of global healthcare, Dr Streveler has advised many of the world’s governments on health information technology. As Lead HMIS Consultant to the World Bank, he has worked to-date in 78 countries, rich and poor, on every continent.
He is Professor, Medical Informatics, at the University of Hawaii where he founded the Biomedical Informatics Ph.D. program there which focuses largely on international health informatics issues. Previously he was Chief Strategist at Healtheon Corporation then Senior Strategist at WebMD, arguably the world’s most well known brand in eHealth. Dennis received is Ph.D. in Medical Information Science from the University of California at San Francisco.
