World Medical Tourism & Global Health Congress would like to announce Korea Health Industry Development Institute as a Diamond Sponsor at the 2nd Annual World Medical Tourism & Global Health Congress in 2009.
Korea Health Industry Development Institute (KHIDI) has a mission and vision which, taken together, are to propel Korea to one of the world’s leading top five bio-health nations by 2015. KHIDI is a government-funded organization established in 1999 to improve Korea’s healthcare system through development of the overall healthcare industry.
KHIDI’s goals are to position Korea’s healthcare industry as a solid global leader. This is done in two ways. First, KHIDI provides comprehensive and professional support programs for Korea’s hospitals and clinics.Â
Second, KHIDI strengthens the global competitiveness of Korea’s national healthcare industry by consulting, interfacing, and sharing healthcare technology and expertise with leading government, academic and private institutions around the world. The importance of healthcare technology has grown markedly in this knowledge-based economic world. KHIDI’s commitment to healthcare technology and expertise enables Korea to keep pace with other advanced countries. Collectively and including Korea, these advanced countries are already exerting their utmost efforts in health technology through national R&D funds, fostering healthcare
expertise and promoting their healthcare industry.
Despite the world’s current economic crisis, we are increasing our investments in the healthcare industry.  We are establishing new paradigms (e.g. development of new medicine, stem cell and BT revolution), which further strengthens our global competitiveness. Our contribution to our nation’s healthcare R&D includes the implementation of performance-oriented management systems, which were installed to enhance the productivity and efficiency of our healthcare system.
Lastly, leveraging our country’s history of successfully introducing and growing the Samsung and Hyundai brands into global powers, we actively take part in industrialization of health technologies and enrichment of international businesses. We do this through a variety of established and new methodology, which include technology transfers, commercialization and patent application.

The conference will feature up to 2,000 attendees, up to 200 speakers, and over 125 exhibitors. Don’t miss out on the 2nd Annual World Medical Tourism & Global Health Congress will take
